What is Mosaiq?

Mosaiq is a puzzle game in which players arrange clusters of falling colored pieces in order to avoid filling the board.

In Mosaiq, squares comprised of four smaller, colored square pieces fall from the top of the board, one at a time. While the block is falling, the player can move it left, right, or accelerate its fall to the bottom. Once the block of four settles on the bottom, or other existing pieces, it falls apart and the pieces fall to fill in any gaps.

If the blocks fill the screen, the game ends. Players prevent this by matching four or more of the same color squares in any arrangement, as long as the pieces touch each other. When matches are made, the blocks are cleared, and any blocks above the matches fall down.

If matches are made after the one generated by the player’s last move, they are cleared in a chain reaction as a “combo”, and bonus points are awarded. The point bonuses awarded are exponentially higher for each step in a combo.

Players will try to both survive as long as they can, and get a high score. A HUD on the left will show the player score, as well as the number of each color of block cleared.

The game will feature three difficulties: “Easy”, for new players, will feature four different colors. “Normal” will add one more color to the mix, and “Difficult” will throw six different colors at players.
